ancient Chinese people believed that the death will continue through spirit life as it did in the actual human life. the death were buried sets of bronze vessels. the Chinese guest would have to wear white, they weren't aloud to were red because the color red symbols "happiness" also if the dead person was 80 or above the guest could wear white with pink or red because its a celebration that the dead person lived up to so long. the deceased person wears a white robe with paper money tucked inside. the guests put money in a white envelope, the money that they put in is to help the family pay for the funeral.
what happens after the funeral.
after the funeral ceremony a marching band leads the procession, the band plays loud music to frighten the spirits and the ghosts. the size of the marching people depends on the wealth of the dead person and his or hers family. the sons and daughters wear white and black and walk in front of the row of the procession, daughter-in laws come next also wearing white and black clothes, grandsons and granddaughters wear blue.
