china has had a clever way to trade with other countries. china grew a plant that silk worms loved to eat for that reason they were able to trade silk with many other civilization. china was able to trade with India,west Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe. china was also able to trade jade, porcelain and ivory. the silk road helped them very much to trade. 

the silk road was very important because it hepled them to trade between a number of  kindoms and empires. china traded lots of stuff suck as salt, tease, sugar and spices. most of what was traded were expensive.
